When toothache strikes and a tooth is very badly damaged, an extraction maybe the only choice available. We offer a prompt service for acute pain cases, so that toothache need not disrupt your life longer than necessary.
At our clinic, we assess diseased teeth using x-rays and photos to advise you on the best treatment. If an extraction is needed, we’ll discuss replacement options, including immediate partial or full dentures, so you won’t be without teeth for long. Dentures can later be upgraded to fixed prosthetics like implants or ceramic bridges. Contact us to find the best solution for you.
If your tooth can be extracted routinely, then our qualified staff will carry out the procedure in-house in an efficient and timely manner so you will be pain-free as soon as possible. Minor surgical procedures may also be undertaken when a tooth is very badly damaged and requires a surgical extraction.
After your tooth extraction, you will be given verbal and written instructions on how to care for the wound site when you get home. Your dentist will organise a prescription for antibiotics and pain relief medication when needed. If you require any further help or advice, we are just a phone call away.
For complex surgical extraction cases, an urgent referral to an oral surgeon will be made for you. Your dentist will prescribe you antibiotics and pain relief to take in the interim until you can be assessed by a specialist oral surgeon. When pathology is suspected, your dentist will also send you to the oral surgeon for an initial assessment and a biopsy may be required to diagnose and subsequently treat the lesion or underlying condition.
